This Excel travel template is probably the best one to see all of your flights, hotels, car rentals, etc at a glance. It will be blank when you download it. You’ll simply add in your specific travel details then print this baby up!

2) Itinerary Template From Microsoft

template for travel

This is a detailed flight template meant for business, however you can easily use it for personal use. In the client information area, simply put your own information. This is a good itinerary to give to your family members at home because it’s really easy to understand at a glance, and it’s very detailed in case of any emergencies.

3) Itinerary Template From Microsoft (#2)

trip planning sheet

This itinerary gives you a birds eye view of what your entire trip will look, organized by day. Enter important places you’ll be visiting, the time you’ll be visiting them (or waking up), and the cost of the activity. It’s a very simple planning tool too, because you can see what you’ll be doing each day.

4) Travel Itinerary Template From Travel. Paint. Repeat.

trip planner word document

This sample template can be used in any way you like. It’s nice because you can fill in details specific to your trip. There’s also plenty of room to write important information. It’s organized by day, and you can edit the columns to include whatever “header” you want.

6) Sample Words Transportation Itinerary

This template is mostly a transportation itinerary. It’s a great way to keep your flight details in order on a single page. There’s also a spot for vehicle rental information and hotel information. But the best part of it is the ease of keeping your flights organized by “leg.”

8) Travefy App & Free Word And Excel Itinerary Templates

travefy app

Travefy is an App you can use on your phone or computer to plan your trip. It’s a great app that’s detailed and gives you ideas about what to do no matter where you go. You can use the app to create an itinerary based on your interests. If you don’t want to use the app, you can download free Microsoft Word & Excel documents to hand write your travel schedule. The documents come blank so you can fill in whatever heading sections you want.

9) Excel Templates All-In-One Travel Template

This template is perhaps the best one out of the bunch. There’s space to fill out many different types of information, including accommodations, transportation, packing list, and emergency information. It’s a great sheet for families to print out and give to everyone.

By the way, if you’re looking to book a hotel, use booking.com. It’s my favorite tool for finding the best hotel prices anywhere.

The Excel templates All in One looks super helpful Jack. I am used to the format from using Excel to track my freelance writing clients so it fits like a glove. Me and my GF usually track our trips with….nothing lol..but if we go this route we’ll be happy to use 1 or 2 of these tools. Never hurts to organize things before you get on the road.

Thanks Jack for doing the research to publish a super helpful post!

Keep on blog commenting too. (found you on Nomadic Matt’s blog)

I抦 impressed, I have to say. Really hardly ever do I encounter a blog that抯 both educative and entertaining, and let me inform you, you’ve hit the nail on the head. Your idea is excellent; the issue is something that not enough people are talking intelligently about. I am very joyful that I stumbled across this in my search for one thing relating to this.
